George's Supper Club with Five Cooks and A Cocktail: A Review

Last month, George's kitchen was taken over by an upcoming London chef collective Five Cooks and a Cocktail. Members’ and their guests were welcomed to the Club with a Bombay gin based cocktail a Red Celia cocktail in the Bar while guest DJ Piers Thompson spun on the decks. 

Soon the inviting aroma from the kitchen began to stir people’s appetites, calling them into the Restaurant. Starters of Dorset Crab and Wild Garlic Crotini followed by Nettle Tagiatelle with Salted Ricotta, Peas and Mint started the evening. The use of fresh spring-time ingredients continued throughout the menu with a main course of Spring Lamb, Asparagus, Jersey Royals and Broad Beans and a dessert of Almond and Polenta Cake with Caramelized Blood Oranges and Yoghurt Sorbet. 

Once dinner concluded, the night was far from over as DJ Piers Thompson playing in the Bar with Members’ revelling into the early hours of the morning.

An Evening with Clovis Taittinger

Tuesday 23rd May | 7.30pm-8.30pm

Clovis Taittinger, the fourth-generation scion of the Tattinger dynasty as well as Export Director of this world-famed Champagne house, will host an evening presenting his beloved Champagne at George. Champagne Taittinger is one of the last great Champagne houses to still hold the name of its owners, guaranteeing its expertise remains intact. This Champagne hour in the Bar will showcase a selection of Champagne Tattinger including magnums and jeroboams of Taittinger Brut Réserve and Taittinger Prestige Rosé accompanied by Club canapés including seasonal asparagus, parma ham and tarragon mayonnaise and foie gras parfait with onion chutney.

Glorious Gulls' Eggs

In the Restaurant this May | Lunch & Dinner

We look forward to this year's arrival of gulls' eggs which will be available in the Restaurant for a limited time only. Delicious gulls' eggs are collected during just three weeks of the year making them a rare luxury. The delicate soft whites and sunset yellow yolks are creamier and smoother than hen’s eggs, with a richer taste.

In the Bar | Every Evening

We are delighted to inform Members of the newly launched sushi and sake menu in the Bar.  Available every evening, our sushi chef will prepare classic Japanese dishes including: Chicken Yakitori Skewers and Tempura Soft Shell Crab with Nuoc Cham alongside a selection of Nigiri, Maki, Sashimi and Tartare.

Liven Up Your Weekend

Fridays & Saturdays | From 7.30pm

Our weekend music programme continues throughout May with a line-up including some of George's favourite musicians. Club favourite Sarah Hawkyard takes over the mic on Saturday 13th and Friday 26th.  Marina Simioni's vocals will fill the Bar on both Saturday 6th and Saturday 20th. Ed Harvey returns on Friday 12th and Katerina will perform on Saturday 27th May for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Monday's Fine Wine Offer

Mondays in May

Each Monday the Club's Fine Wine Offer returns to the wine list. Selected by Guillem Kerambrun, Group Head Sommelier & Wine Buyer, a changing assortment will be available for Members to enjoy at greatly reduced prices such as the the Côtes-de-Provence Tour l'Evêque.
