FEBRUARY EVENTS AT GEORGE

February starts with a 'spring clean' at George during an afternoon of beauty and restoration next Friday. On Monday 12th, ahead of Valentine's Day, there will be a showcase of precious red gemstones from Augustine Jewels. We invite you to the first Members' Party of 2018 with a carnival celebration on Saturday 24th and the party will continue throughout the weekend with a family brunch of fiesta on Sunday 25th. Lastly, we encourage you to take advantage of Monday's Wine Offer available throughout the month.

Embrace the spirit and soul of carnival at George as Brazilian dancers are set to sizzle, performing alongside Mario Backuna and his South American trio in the Bar. Get ready for samba, cachaça and caipirinhas. The Restaurant will prepare a special Latin inspired menu of exotic dishes for the evening.

FAMILY FIESTA!

Little ones are welcomed to join us in their fancy dress for an afternoon of feathers and carnival entertainment. Emily, our much loved face painting pro will be on hand to decorate the children's faces in bright colours for an afternoon of activities at George.

Tuesday 13th February

The kitchen’s frying pans will be busy preparing an array of pancakes for Shrove Tuesday. Enjoy Buttermilk pancakes, maple syrup butter and berries at breakfast and Crispy duck pancakes with oriental salad at lunch or dinner followed by pancakes with Gianduja ice cream and Crêpe Suzette, prepared table-side with lots of flair, flames and theatre throughout the day.

MONTHLY MEMBERS' TALK: PRECIOUS GEMSTONES WITH AUGUSTINE JEWELS

Monday 12th February | Doors 7pm; Talk 7.15pm

Join Alexandra Robson, founder of Augustine Jewels who was shortlisted for Jewellery Designer of the Year 2017, for a jewellery showcase and masterclass in the Bar.  Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the evening will celebrate precious red gemstones and Alexandra will guide you through rubies, garnets, spinels and pink sapphires, teaching you about their colour, cut, carat and clarity.

Augustine Jewels specialiszes in handmade and bespoke jewellery and will showcase their latest colleciton on the evening, teaching Membesr how to use a loupe and value different stones.

VALENTINE'S DAY AT GEORGE

Wedneday 14th February

Spend an evening in the company of your amore at George this Valentine's Day. Enjoy a glass of Champagne in the Bar as Club favourites, Colomboloco perform downstairs throughout the evening while a classic dinner is served in the Restaurant. Special dishes, designed to share, will include Mixed roasted shellfish, lobster, scallops, prawns, razor clams, seashore vegetables with garlic butter or Beef Wellington followed by Rhubarb soufflé with a white chocolate sorbet.


Members are advised that advance reservations are required for the evening.

We are pleased to inform Members of the Club's Monday wine offer.  The complete wine list in the Restaurant at George will be available at 50% off the listed price every Monday evening, with a dinner reservation, throughout the remainder of the month. We are delighted to inform Members of the newly launched sushi and sake menu in the Bar. Available every evening, our sushi chef will prepare classic Japanese dishes including Chicken Yakitori Skewers and Tempura Soft Shell Crab with Nuoc Cham alongside a selection of Nigiri, Maki, Sashimi and Tartare.
